A few weeks ago i downloaded flash codec from a website, and ever since then my search engine has been redirecting me to random advertisement sites.  Then a few days later, my computer started to freeze after about 20 minutes of use.  This continued to happen until i was not able to use my computer at all.  Once i logged on, i could look at my desktop, but i could not click anything.  After this happened, I went into safe mode and created another user.  The new user still redirects my Google results, but i am able to use it without the constant freezing.  Can someone please help me out, i don't know what to do anymore?

After downloading the installer for SAS, i tried to open it and it says that Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close.  Then after i downloaded Malwarebytes, nothing opens.  I looked on my desktop for the shortcut to MWAB, and it has been replaced by a shortcut to Windows Media Player.  I was able to finish all of the other steps, and this is my log from HJT :

After a brief look at you log, you have entries that redirect your DNS to a malware site.  Tixk these and click "fix checked":

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{52CB9B0B-9752-4A10-837C-C60EAF0D3250}: NameServer = 85.255.112.170,85.255.112.235Internet Settings
These may not be bad if your internet connection is set manually
O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.112.170,85.255.112.235Internet Settings
These may not be bad if your internet connection is set manually

Sorry mroilfield, as I've got previous experience of fixing this problem I thought I'd help.  Where can I find the forum rules about making myself a "designated specialist" ?

Wait until a member with Malware Removal Specialist rank to tell you what to do.
