In a normal boot, I have 2 network adapters showing under device manager: Realtek PCI Fast Ethernet NIC and a Wireless LAN Network Adapter

When I reboot in safe mode, I have 13: a direct parallel, some Teefer2 Miniports, some Packet Scheduler Miniports, some WAN Miniport (PPPOE, L2TP, PPTP, etc).

Should I be concerned about this or is this normal?

I reformatted my hard drive 2 days ago, so I know it isn't from having old drivers loaded.

Don't be concerned about it.
