Platform:        Windows 2000 Professional
Make:            Dell Dimension L800CXE
Ram:             512
Processor:       Intel
Megahertz:       Pentinum III
Hard Drive:      20 GB

After the possible power surge, my computer would not boot up. When I turn on the computer, I can see the Windows 2000 splash screen, pressing F8 is no use, and then I get to this blue screen with this error and it just stops.  I can only power down.

***STOP: 0x0000007B (0x818A8B0,0xc000009c,0x00000000,0x00000000)

Diagnose/troubleshooting:

I try to boot from the Dell reinstallation CD but no use. I'm not sure how to boot from the CD. I put the CD in, press F2 when Windows is starting, but no use, I get the same blue screen.  Please help!  Thanks
