For the month of October we thought it would be interesting to see how many users are planing on upgrading to Windows 7 that is being released October 22, 2009. Feel free to make any comments about why you are or are not upgrading, what version you're planning on running, and other feelings you have about this release of Windows. All past monthly polls and results can also be found on the Computer Hope poll page.

I've seen the prices and it's just to high according to me to upgrade now... I'll wait until march, then my RC version starts to shut down every 2 hours... so then I'll buy a legal version. Also my laptop runs Win7 and I'm testing Linux Ubuntu at the moment on a virtual machine.. so I might go to that. Wondering what others will do

I did a clean reinstall of XP on both my laptop and desktop this spring and both are running very nicely. I may upgrade to windows 7 in the future but I'm in no hurry since I have no problems with XP and I see no need to get the latest and greatest "just because."

I was invited to a special Microsoft event, where they handed out free copies to everyone that attended.
The "Microsoft: The New Efficiency Technical Briefing." It was an all day thing where they talked about new features, roll out and deployment plans, along with Server 2008 R2 details. IT was pretty fun! AND I got Ultimate as a gift along with a shirt! And a notepad!
