I downloaded a program from the internet and the ability to save has been disabled. Is there any way to alter this?

gbhy123...usually when you download something ...ie a program your are given the option of either OPEN or SAVE to a disk.  If its something you wish to keep select the save to option.  Another option would be to use a download manager....ie Flashget and with this ...when you download it is directed to a folder called downloaded files.....from there you can do whatever you want with the download.......open it install it or throw it away if you dont want it.

Hope this helps you .

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.
