Viewing photos

Hello..!
 I just had my disk reformatted and I don't know how to view photos on the web.
 I see a square with a red x in it.
 If you're able to help, please advise in non-technical terms.

Hi, R U using Microsoft Internet Explorer?

Try : click on "Tools" -> "Internet Options" -> "Advanced" -> (scroll down and look) under Multimedia -> make sure there's a tick at "Show Pictures"

the red square means that you have not got java?
