Many years ago, when I was running Windows 95, I created many files using Microsoft works word processor and spreadsheets.  I saved those files in case I needed to access them later.   Now I am running Windows XP and using Microsoft Office 2003 with Word and Excel but I can no longer access those old files.   Is there a converter out there that I can use?  I no longer have the Microsoft Works software.  Thanks for reading this,  JIM

If you google wps to doc converter you will find a number of sites where you can download converters for free.  When I used to use Works (at home) I would always save word processor documents as .doc to avoid the compatibility problems with Office.

Here are directions from Microsoft with their converter if you need it.
