Ok guys i bought a computer game .. The Sims 3 if you must know... I wanna put the game onto my 180 GB Portable Harddrive.. as in.. not installed game but the game files.. like could i go to My computer > explore the cd > den copy all the files onto the harddrive and wuld the installer now be on the harddrive??? SOrry if you cant understand

Yes, the installer would be on the hard drive if you copied the entire disc, but you would still need the disc in the DVD drive to play the game. What exactly are you trying to accomplish here?

I must point out that copying games is illegal and no advice on how to do so should be give on this site.

More than once I've seen games not install properly on some systems requiring modification of certain files which can only be done once it's copied off (The Sims 2 international version being one of them). The OP wasn't asking to crack the game. Even if he/she installs from the hard drive, it will still require the disc to play. As long as they aren't trying to bypass copy protection features, which there is no evidence of yet, then they're doing nothing wrong. Don't jump the gun there, sparky.
