this is win 95 im talking of and i don't have a dial up modem port since 1998. i'm talking of the modem ports on the computer that require a phone cable hooked up to a modem and yes this is a DOS gam. But i have done this with many other games too. but not through floppy.

If you have a 9 pin crossover serial cable then you can certainly transfer the files that way.  If I remember correctly it was also called a null modem cable.

As to how to set it up, I certainly can't remember, but I'm sure someone else can.
