I came across this site when I was googling information on a possible atapi.sys error or infection and saw that others had similar problems. The posts said that the help was for each specific person, and not to follow what was suggested, so I decided to post my own thread.

Basically every now and then [more frequently over the past week] an AVG notification pops up:

I've ran my Spybot, CCleaner, Spyware Begone, AVG, and Malware Bytes all and nothing seems to make it go away.

Any help?
