I'm having an issue with my LCD screen. I was browsing the net like I always do, and my screen just shut-off. Went black. I tried to restart, checked the power cable and the video cable(I think that's what it's called. Correct me if i'm wrong), and pretty much everything else I could think of.
Occasionally, the screen flashed back on for less than a second then went black again. But that was only once or twice, it has never done that since.
I also got another screen and video cable from my uncle to try and see if it was the screen that was the problem. But it didn't turn on either, so my guess is that its the connection between the screen and the PC.
I have checked the video cable but i do not see and bent pins on either side, or any gashes or cuts in it.
Any suggestions?

No, I think the problem might be on the motherboard. I said the connection between the screen and the PC. So I guess that could be misinterpreted.
But I meant the motherboard.

Bad motherboard VGA connector.
Thats exactly what I think too, but when I open up the Computer, I cannot access the connector, there is something else in the way right on the motherboard. What do I do?

I was thinking more like dirt in the connector socket.
Okay how would I go about cleaning that?

Make sure you are grounded to the computer and that it is turned off before you do that.
What type of cable are you using to connect to the monitor?
Whoops, I already tried before grounding myself, but I used a pin with some insulation on one end. Even with a magnifying glass though, I can't see a thing, like a pin can just fit into it. I think its just a regular VGA cable.
