My Acer Aspire L5100 Desktop PC ethernet connection has stopped working.
The Device Manager says "the drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28)"
I cannot find the drivers on the Acer website or anywhere...
Can you help, please.
Many thanks,
Jack.

MBoard chipset drivers...they should be included in there.
Unless it's an addon card.
Do you have the Acer Driver CD ?

Already tried the chipset drivers from the acer site - still no joy.

The PC did not have a back up CD.

Any ideas folks?

LAN Driver, not chipset driver.

You may need to buy a PCI/NIC card...should only set you back about 15 Bucks...

Takes 10 minutes to install.

 ???
You are using the wrong driver; you wouldn't be asking for the make and model of the integrated NIC because it's listed on the Acer website for you to plainly see.
It's a Realtek NIC.

Hi Josef,

I have the NIC driver as a RAR file which I will attatch to an email for you.

I can't remember where I found it, but it worked for my Acer L5100 PC that I am using right now.

Let me now a suitable email address and I will send it.

Regards

Jack.
