Google sites (and sometimes Yahoo) not working with any browsers

Hi, I recently had a virus/trojan called the "Windows Protection Suite." I think I got rid of most of the problems associated with that virus, the only thing that doesn't work is when I try to connect to google, gmail, google maps, etc. I normally use Opera browser, and sometimes Firefox. Any time I try to access a google site, it takes forever to load, then comes up with an error screen (cannont connect to www.google.com etc.) I can connect to just about any other website, ie facebook, ebay, etc. If I use a proxy, I am able to access google sites, but that is kind of a pain. That leads me to believe there is a virus/trojan or something blocking me (my IP maybe?) from using google. Can anyone help me with this problem? Please let me know if you need more info! Thank you!

Hey, I know many computer help sites require several days before assistants can get to your problem, and bumping your quetsion will put you at the end of the line. I don't mind waiting but this site said questions tend to be answered within the day. Just curious if I should expect to wait longer or if maybe my question got overlooked? Don't mean to be impatient but this problem is affecting my business and I'm trying to get it fixed asap. Thanks again for input!
