The original Doom or Doom 2 on nightmare difficulty.

Am I weird in that I always play Doom, Doom2, Quake, Quake 2, and Duke on the highest difficulties?

Come to think of it- I never did try Doom or Doom2 very much on nightmare skill. I did beat all of Duke3d on *censored* I'm good (skill 4), which is pretty much the same (except doom's difficulties change damage and ammo, whereas Duke3d's difficulties change the number and type of enemies. Both Nightmare and "*censored* I'm good" respawn enemies though (with a crucial difference, if you've blown up the body, no enemy respawns... maybe that's why I had an easier time of it, I made sure to blow up all the corpses).

Doom, Doom2, TNT, Plutonia...

Or

Dear gawd

Eternal Doom...

yep, that's the one right there. Eternal Doom on Nightmare skill. I don't even think it's possible to beat half the levels on that skill  without fancy choreography and tool assistance.

I love when people say something is "officially" something, and then state their opinion. It's like they somehow have an official opinion or something.

The hardest game ever, in my opinion would be any game where you turn off the display.  It even makes accounting really challenging.

 ;D

difficulty levels even high up when you disable sound cues if they exist.

"oh... I heard that... I minimized something... so I should click here.... hmm, that sounded like an error... let me try again..."

"Dear, why not turn the screen back on?"

"*censored* woman, I told them I could do this with my eyes closed, and this is pretty close... I'm practicing."

Only wasted 5 days worth of time on impossible games? I hope you don't call yourself a serious gamer.  ;)

Doom 2 in nightmare IS possible.

In fact, speedruns are done of it.

It's really really hard and in effect takes choreographed movements to avoid encountering as many respawned enemies as possible, but it is doable.

How does that make it official?

A lot of sites say a lot of things but that doesn't make what they say official.

Besides from what I played it's not hard at all; just a matter of figuring out each puzzle. There are a lot of games of it's type (figure out each puzzle or die) and some of them are actually programmed properly.
