all incoming calls are triggering a fax sound.  Please help

All incoming calls on my landline will ring twice than the computer is picking it up as a incoming fax.  I have uninstalled my fax machine and unplugged all phone lines connecting the fax. It still happens.  When i pull the phoneline from the computer and call landline it is all good.  So i am guessing it has to do with the computer.

You need to re-set the modem properties to disable "fax on demand"....

I went under phones and modems and cannot find a "fax on demand" prompt to re-set, am I looking in the right place?
