I've never understood how the heck you can game with a laptop... I mean, I can almost see it with a trackpoint (I love those things) but a touchpad would take a lot of practice. When I wanted to game with my laptop (before I upgraded my desktop) I always hooked up a wireless mouse. Actually, come to think of it, I used the wireless mouse even for desktop stuff... I've never realyl liked touchpads.

I miss the trackpoint  :'(

I still think I like the Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q850 better, of course I'm partial to the NVidia card over the ATI.

I really have no choice but to run a high end laptop when I'm working in camp, I would go crazy being out of town for months with no games - and dragging a desktop out of town is out of the question.  I always use a mouse and disable the touch pad though, I just prefer a mouse.  To be honest I was never that fond of the trackpoint either.

well, I like mice better then the trackpoint, but I managed with the trackpoint. now with the touchpad I find myself scrolling when I don't want to, because some goof decided, "hey, let's make the corners of the touchpad scroll! and while we're at it, let's not mark the actual definition of side!" with the trackpoint, you just angle the stick where you want.

In fact, manufacturers prefer the trackpoint, too. saves on "real estate" for the keyboard (although, that's not really all that important... the screen pretty much decides the size of the laptop) the only reason it's not available is because of patent issues.

Sniping in modern warfare 2, tf2, and left 4 dead 2 is alot easier for me with a touch pad.

Yes but you see I live in Ireland where 1TB HDDs in shops are about €100 / ~$140 ;D

Technology is a bit on the slow end here.....staying on CH keeps me up to date - I usually read stuff in Irish magazines about 2 months after I've read them on here. I just think "job possibility?"

I think a good 1TB HDD in America goes from around 160-180 new. Depends on the retailer.
