Title: My computer wont start disk boot failure

i have an old windows 98 and everytime i turn it on it says disk boot failure  insert system disk and press enter what do i do

Check the cable connections to the hdd and ide, re-plugging might cure the problem.  If re-plugging does not work then start diagnosis by downloading a floppy bootdisk from bootdisk.com, reset Bios to boot from the floppy first, this will give you access to your pc.

Please post back with any displayed error messages.

You either have a bad hard drive, improper connections, a damaged master boot record, or no operating system installed.

What happened prior to this would be important.  ;)

i was installing a drivers for a camera and the computer froze i then turned it of pushing the button not the start key and that is it when i turned it back on it says

disk boot failure  insert
                            system disk
                              and press enter
