Title: Install Windows Live Hotmail shortcut icon on desktop? Win.XP sp3
Post by: blueisapitbull on September 06, 2008, 06:24:20 PM
Hello:

After searching the net, I can find no directions as to how to install a Windows Live Mail icon onto my desktop.

Each time, I have to go to Windows Live Hotmail, click "Your Mail is Here" and enter my hotmail address and password.

Isn't there an easier way, to go straight to my Inbox?

I am using Mozilla Firefox browser and it only has a "Gmail" button.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Ann

Find the Hotmail.exe file...
Right click it and select Create Shortcurt...
Drag the file to the Desktop.

As far as auto login you need to adjust the Hotmail properties for that

Try ThunderBird in your spare time...tou won't be dissappointed.

Thanks Patio:

I have T-Bird but I forgot my password and I can't check my mail!

OE is taking the IP's mail, but all my good Contacts are in the Address Book.

I've surfed the net and emailed T-bird Help but couldn't find any way to by-pass the lost password and get the best email program I had, back.

Thanks,

Ann
