Anyone else having to double click on everything?
« on: January 10, 2011, 04:00:29 PM »
I'm just curious if this is standard for windows 7?

example if there is a link I have to double click. In my start menu everything on the right side I have to double right click and the hit open.

Is there a fix for this?

It's not.

I have no idea why it would act that way. Closest thing to your problem would be the options provided in Windows Explorer's Tools->Folder Options dialog, providing the option to single click to open items or double click to open them, but those are for icons on your desktop and items in Windows Explorer, and don't dictate behaviour in your browser or start menu.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

Has it always been this way or did it just start?

Thank you both for the fast response.

I bought the computer from a friend of a friend, so I don't know if it has always been like that.

Perhaps you could ask him or her.

And is that the only thing that seems to be wrong? Have you done a full scan with BOTH your anti virus utility AND with MalwareBytes?

Okay. That's probably the cause of your problem.

That's kind of what I was thinking, but wasn't sure.

Thanks

You might wanna check if its the mouse option is the problem OR its the hardware. Have you/they tried using another type of mouse? Since it only happens on Start menu.
