video cards in laptops are all integrated on the motherboard, you can't "reseat" them...

This really sounds like a graphics error, had prior experience with a few laptops which fit this description PERFECTLY... power light on, fan running, no display, no windows boot sound, nothing. Previously, immediate BSODs and shutdown when running graphics-intensive applications.

I solved my problem by unplugging the internal display connector and using the VGA connector for a display... This will definitely void your warranty and might cause damage if you are not careful, not to mention your laptop will never be portable ever again...

I would really take it to a service center-there is really nothing much the end user can do to fix a laptop motherboard because everything is integrated.
