    « on: December 26, 2012, 12:22:04 AM »
i have a laptop where the cd-room has been spoiled. So i try use a bootable usb to install windows xp. When i enter the setup where there is partition lists for my to delete/new partitions,it only shows the usb partition and the internal hard drive does not show up.

You might need to slipstream the SATA drivers into that XP image on the usb stick. Otherwise no HDD will be found.
