im using a desktop computer and it was fine .. then i just formatted it and eversince im getting a blue screen error ... specially when im playing my favorite game metin2 ... im running Windows xp professional service pack3 INTEL motherboard 2 giga ram video card is built in...

3) After installing the OS did you download and install all appropriate drivers, starting with the chipset ddriver?

its Toshiba .. Intel desktop board .. im sorry i can't answer all of your questions .. i don't know how to get to know what make or model is it...

i formatted it because i wanted to install windows 7 but after installing windows 7 it kept restarting every once in a while and i didn't like the start menu that much so .. i installed xp again ....
and yes i installed all the drivers except one called sm bus controller i don't know what that is...i didn't start with the chipset driver after updating everything from microsoft i did.

i tried to fix the problem by going ro ( RUN ) and typing ( sfc /scannow ) & verifier and i tried to go to last good know configuration ... nothing worked ..

The SM Bus controller is part of the chipset controller and it MUST be installed - that's why you're having problems.

Go to the website of your computer or motherboard manufacturer, search for the smbus / chipset controller for you system / motherboard, download & install

I HAVE INSTALLED THANK YOU SO MUCH ... AND I BELIEVE THIS WAS THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THE SAME MESSAGE OF THE BLUE SCREEN HAS NEVER CAMEBACK ... I HAVE ANOTHER BLUE SCREEN ISSUE NOW LOL ITS CALLED PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA ... I DOWNLOADED THE BLUE SCREEN VIEWER AND IT SAID THE NEW INSTALLATION OF THE GRAPHIC CARD CAUSES THIS .. SO IM GOING TO REINSTALL IT AGAIN AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS ... THIS IS THE MESSAGE FROM THE BLUE SCREEN VIEWER

eh eh excuse me ....
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL is back again after i have installed the game again ... it seems like i get this blue screen and other blue screens because of the game ,,, i didn't have them before i have formatted the computer ... i don't want to remove he game ,, is there any other way for solving it???

note : blue screens always come when im playing it otherways they don't comeup.

yes i used to play this game for several months before i did format it ... then after formatting it these problems cameup all the sudden ... only when i open the game and start playing ... sometimes after 20 mins or 30 mins and other times it take an hour or 2 to comeup...
