    Windows will not check for updates - error code 800f0900

    Hello,

    My PC crashed a week ago, and since then, I have not been able to check for Windows updates. I am receiving an error message saying: "Windows could not search for new updates. An error occurred while checking for new updates for your computer."

    I ran antivirus/spyware scans with BitDefender, SuperAntiSpyware, and Malwarebytes, but no threats were discovered. I also ran the System Update Readiness Tool, the Tweaking.com Windows repair tool, and Microsoft's Windows update troubleshooting tool, but nothing has solved the problem. What is my next step in resolving this issue?

    I am running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with SP1 installed.

    Update Support is Free...if you can't get it to run manually call their #800 number.
