Can I teether my Android Phone to my Windows PC via USB?

The mobile plan I have puts a limit on using my Wi-Fi hot spot. But I do not have another reliable Internet connection. So I was thinking about using the USB tethering option of Windows 7/8/10 to bypass the Wi-Fi hot spot.

He says it also works on Windows 7. I suppose it works for Windows 10. Does it?

Has anybody here done this? Does it get around the extra charge for a 'Hot Spot'?

Your link didn't work so don't know exactly what was being linked to.  However, I have used PDANet software from this website: http://junefabrics.com/ in order to tether my phone to my computer via USB for internet access.  PDANet/FoxFi can be used to create a wifi hotspot on a smartphone as well.  Neither require the extra charge for the 'Hotspot' feature.  I'm sure you are aware that using your phone is this way will chew up data very quickly.

Remember that some mobile phone have limited data access plans.

Keep an eye on he amount of data being used.
