    720 verus 1080 hdtv

    I was watching the Price is Right using an antenna it came in on two different channels at the same time one channel was 720 and the other was 1080 is this the way it is broadcast or is the signal going thru the air causing the loss? Actual you could not see any difference in picture quality from 720 to 1080.

    If a channel is received in 720p it was transmitted in 720p. Likewise for 1080p. Unless you have a large screen and good eyes you may not see any difference. Also 1080p transmissions may be so compressed that it looks no better than 720p.

    Also bear in mind that just because a channel broadcasts in 1080p or even 720p doesn't mean the show they are broadcasting was filmed at that resolution.
