    You may not need to run fdisk. The drive is already FAT32. Try running
    format/s c:
    If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.

      Boot with the boot disk. At the prompt, type the command and press enter. (Your boot disk should have format.com on it.)

      Boot disc only has some .sys  files, and .exe files (FDISC. extract. findcd.  mscdex) no format.com – and as I said before …it just comes up with “bad command and or file name”. Is that any help?

        Does your boot disk create a ram drive? Is format.com in the ram drive?

        Judging by the lack of response (even though there have been over 600 hits !) I can only imagine that ‘good old fashioned English’ is no longer available for rookies on this web page. I’ll just have to look elsewhere for assistance – so long guys!
