    i've formated my harddrive and reinstalled windows to find no sound!!  :'(

    so read a few other forums downloaded a program that finds the sound card (EVEREST) and got Intel 82801FB ICH6 - High Definition Audio Controller [B-2].

    the problem is that i can't find the driver for it can anyone help?

    Driver Magic is a good free place.

    Make sure you are online with the computer in question.

    Download Driver Wizard and install it.

    Driver Wizard will then take you to the downloads you need.

    Go to the below site.

      Driver Magic is a good free place.

      Make sure you are online with the computer in question.

      Download Driver Wizard and install it.

      Driver Wizard will then take you to the downloads you need.

      Go to the below site.

      no luck  :'(

      the file is not avaible for download and i don't have the original CD

        Select Computer>Summary from the EVEREST left hand screen.
        Right click in the right hand screen & select Copy All
        Paste the details in here.

          Have you tried the Intel site itself for your driver/controller? I got mine that way for my audio card and it works just fine. Just a suggestion.
