I'm not sure I've seen it before, either.  That's because I normally don't have ump-teen things open at the same time.

Go to any Win XP computer and open applications and keep opening more of them until they can't all be displayed in the space available on the taskbar.  This will confirm that the double arrow scroll arrows are normal, as Carbon Dudeoxide has explained to you, and I stated that I confirmed on my computer.

Today i showed these arrow to all 7 guys and asked them if they knew anything about it, they weren't aware of it either.
Again, they must have a large number of applications open before this happens.  Ask them to do the same test as above.

I remember few days ago I used to see a SINGLE arrow pointing to the RIGHT ONLY and I used click and see all the opened programs.

That's right....

Too get rid of the up and down arrows, just close all your open windows.

This is not about the image you are showing.
here is an example of my home system where it can show 10 program groups and no arrow at all.
whey in my computer at the  office it show those arrows as soon as I open more than lets say 3 programs?
It is annoying because when I want to go to any of the other programs, I have to click on one arrow and then the second arrow till I find the open application.
There must be something to make the task bar behave like this.

Just look at the attached image.

    Thank you for your reply.

Well, obviously, you have more space available between the Quick Launch toolbar and the system tray on your home computer than you have on your work computer.  If you adjust your Quick Launch toolbar to display fewer items on the taskbar, that would help.  You did not show us what all icons you normally have taking up space in the system tray area.  Are those items being hidden when inactive?

But, if you open still more applications, you'll eventually get the double scroll arrows.

The point is if you look at the image I have opened 10 application group at home it works like the image you see, BUT in my work place if even open 3 or 4 the double arrow appear... can't you see the problem? can't this (with 3 or 4) work like my home system? It should and it MUST. Of course we should know what to do  or what NOT to.
      Thank you

You haven't answered the space/dimensions issue.

Try to right click on the taskbar and pick properties and than click Group similar taskbar buttons.

That should get rid of the 2 arrows

Let me know how you make out with this.

That's a good idea, Spoiler. However, this topic is almost 2 months old...

He was wrong anyways. What the dude had to do was unlock the task bar, then a verticle line would appear, then move that to the right and the arrows would dissapear. This just means that he had to many quick launch icons to fit in the area so it put the icons there. I use it all the time thats how I know.

No need to be sorry, your advice wasn't wrong in any way, it just that the OP hasn't been here in 2 months.
