For the month of July we thought it would be interesting to see how long you've gone without getting on the computer since you've started using it. Feel free to talk about why you had to go so long without the computer, what type of effects it had on you, etc.

All past monthly polls and results can also be found on the Computer Hope poll page.

A few weeks I'd guess.
That'd be for holidays, or extended downtime waiting for repairs for my old laptop.
When I was on holiday it didn't bother me, when waiting for repairs I got really frustrated because it took so long.
Even when I was a kid on our old family computers I'd use it once every week or so.
Now though I use it every day unless something happens, like I go out or there's a power cut or something like that.

Interesting question.
From the very first time I've used a computer (around 1990), I have probably gone without using a computer several months or over a year.
From the time I started being really interested in computers, I've probably only gone a week or two without using one.

ha. Even when I went on a road trip with my family a few years ago, I still had my laptop with me. Tongue
That was before I got married, though. I don't think I could do that now.

A few days, and that's only when I'm on vacation and haven't taken my laptop with me. I work with computers so I'm on one constantly except when I'm sleeping... so a few hours? hehe

I had to go a few months without a PC to use when I fried the integrated graphics on my old Pentium 133. I wasn't knowledgable enough to know that was what happened (I know now because I recall removing the "metal green thing" from the motherboard (graphics chipset heatsink- smart). technically I was still using a PC since I had an old 486 with DOS 6 on it, but this was 2003, and nobody would have regarded that as a computer (regardless of the fact that it was).

Didn't touch computer for a couple of weeks. Vacation travel keeps me busy with other activities. Keyboard has again been inviting.  Smiley

Id like to say that I can go without for a longgg time, well more than a few weeks...... but since I sell on the "bay" I pretty much have to check my sales everyday.  Longest Ive gone this year is 2 days and I actually felt good about it. Grin

I usually log on as soon as I get home.  Gotta check my spambox, etc.

P.S. Broni, is that a Polski Orzeł in your signature?
