DDR RAM question.
« on: March 11, 2005, 02:14:26 PM »
I'm thinking of buying some new RAM for my computer.

Currently I have one stick of this:

Now my question is, would there be any problems if I bought this: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80098, or should I buy another stick of what I already have?

Also, I was wondering what sort of speed increase I would get from using the DDR400 RAM instead of the DDR333 RAM?

If the speed is negligable I'll just go with the cheaper one.

Well I wouldn't take out the old stick (bringing my memory up to 1024), and one is DDR333 (current one) and the other is DDR400 (new one).

Chrono2x....... Buy another stick of what you already have ......then you will have 1024mb ......

The other ram you mentioned WILL not be compatible with what you already have .
When you add ram , it MUST have exactly the same specs ........

Check you motherboard manual and you will see exactly what it will support .

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.
