I have a laptop that the Windows Vista is damaged and will not start. I want to copy all data to another drive and then reinstall windows. I can get to everything except the My Documents and All Users. It says E:\Users\All Users is not accessible. The file can not be accessed by the system. I need to save this data before I can continue. The system I have installed the hard drive into is Windows XP Pro. I started the system in safe mode and tried to take over ownership of the files. It says it does it, but it is still not accessible. Any ideas. Thanks in advance for any help with this.
