Well what I ment was you get a Key Code or Number with every CD.
And when you Install Win XP and it is Installed it will say Please Enter Your Lisense Number.

And it activates Win XP over the NET.

Now if my system goes down and I Re Install Win XP again  and enter the Number it will try to activate it ovr the net and tell me the Number  or  iesens Number is in UES.

      It happened befor to me.

If you have to rebuild the machine they let you reactivate it once or twice. If you activate the same copy many times that you get a message to call and get it activated...they want to be sure your not using the same copy over and over.

      This isn't a big deal.

well, you just call microsoft and get them to activate for you, but keep the proof of purchase and i think you'd be okay.
