    "Could not start messenger service on local computer"

    Windows Xp Professional SP2
    Well basically i am trying to start the messenger service and im getting this error:

    Any help would be appreciated

      I think this will help you:
      Go to Start > Run and type in services.msc then press Enter.
      In new window on the right side find Messenger and double click on it.
      In page General if the service status is stopped, click on Start than Apply, OK. Or, if that does not works to the Start up type chose Disable.

        I'm not sure how disabling the service will help if that's the service he's trying to run?

          Well yea pretty much. I am trying to start the service but i keep getting an error message(like i said as i started) and no other problems except I cannot start my Firewall service either so it may be virus related or just a random problem. So here is my log:
