Look on the back of your computer (assuming this is a desktop computer). You are looking for a receptacle like a phone receptacle but wider (Normally a modem receptacle would accept a plug 4 pins wide(RJ-11), an Ethernet port on a NIC is 8 pins wide(RJ-45)
