Could not establish secure connection
« on: May 12, 2009, 09:50:27 PM »
Hi, i'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but i am having problems installing an antivirus software. I get to the prompt where it asks you to enter your information but when i press next i get the following error:

A secure internet connection is required to activate the product(SSL Encrypted). This could not be established. Please address the following issues and repeat the product activation.
-Ensure that the internet can be accessed
-Ensure that the system date is correct
-If in use, check your modem connection
-Ensure that the application fact.exe can access the internet and is not blocked by a firewall

Can anyone help me with this problem?

What browser are you using and what's the name of the anti-virus software you're trying to install?

Yes i did check all the suggestions that program recommended i do. I was able to install the program by unchecking the "subscribe as a user" check box. Of course that does not mean the problem is fixed but at least i was able to install the software and i can now check if the computer has viruses, which i suspect it does.
