I havn't the slightest idea of what it is. the second ( ! ) is for a communications port 2, and under properties, it says "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12) If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system." Please help me. ive spent the past 28 hours trying to get this thing to work all the way, and I am rapidly slipping down the drain of dimensia.

      Found this.....

Device Manager displays the following message in the Device Properties dialog box, on the General tab, in the Device Status text box:

This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system. (Code 12)

      Diagnosis
Two devices have been assigned the same input/output (I/O) ports, the same interrupt, or the same Direct Memory Access channel. The assignment was made by either the basic input/output system (BIOS), the operating system, or a combination of the two.

      Resolution
This error message can also appear if the BIOS did not allocate enough resources to the device. You can use Device Manager to determine where the conflict is and disable the conflicting device.

...don't know but with an error like Intel(R) ICH10R LPC Interface Controller not
being recognized maybe installing the chipset drivers for the motherboard could be a good place to start...or just a bunch of smart a$$ comments might do it also...

            from intel:

"The problem you are having with the unknown device in the Device Manager is related to the Infrared Port on your motherboard. This feature is to be used in Windows Vista(TM), which provides embedded drivers, and it is not supported on Windows* XP.

To disable the option, please enter the BIOS (In later Intel(R) desktop boards you can enter the BIOS setup program by repeatedly pressing the <F2> key during the boot process), go to Advanced > Peripheral configuration and disable "Consumer IR". "

Do you need to use the IR port?

If you don't then just disable it in the bios.
