All,

I have been interested in computers for as long as I can remember. I have rebuilt countless systems from remnants of other systems and combined many systems into one.
As far as custom built from scratch, I have only built two at this point. But both have worked flawlessly.
My baby, the computer I am using now, is my pride and joy.
Some quick specs on this:
Win Xp64 (clearly the best OS there is. Yes Ive tried them all, even win2008.)
 intel quad core processor Q6600
8gig ram
1200G hdd
750i ftw mobo
1000w ATI psu XD Shiny

The other computer I recently built was for a company. I must say it was quite fun to design. They wanted a computer for their monitoring system build in a server rack unit. This was tricky because they planned to used the computer daily and required optimum graphics, which in turn required optimum power! Long story short i was able to fit a 1000W PSU unit in the case with a VERY nice graphics card.
When all was said and done it worked, and I enjoy computers more than ever.
I can't wait to build another. I will never purchase another pre-assembled desktop, as its cheaper to build it, and you get a much bigger bang for your buck.
That's all!

Sounds great and welcome to the SBCC, got your icon added to your profile. That's also one sexy looking PSU. Smiley

I also run a Q6600...i've built rigs for customers with some of the newer quads but i think it's the most solid one in that line...
Welcome Aboard !

PS. I'll take one of those PSU's for XMAS BTW..... Grin

Last year I went fishing with Salvador Dali. He was using a dotted line. He caught every other fish.
