i have been advised to go for this to help make my folding faster because its an older machine, has any-one heard of it

SSE is part of the processor so unless you were to upgrade your processor it's not something you could download or get. Hope that helps.

thank you nathan , i'm looking into upgrading my processor so i'll have to find out what suits the pc and another stick of memory as well . can't think of anything else i would need

Make sure that the motherboard will support a multi-core processor first though.
