TROUBLESHOOTING

Not able to get the Aztech CD-ROM to work with the IBM Dala-3450 Hard drive:

This is caused because the pulse width for DASP signal is not asserted long enough by the CD-ROM drive to comply with that of IBM hard disk, which requires a minimum of 400ms timing. This resulted to the improper detection of Aztech IDE CD-ROM Drive. This issue can be resolved by updating the CD-ROM's Firmware, which can be found on the Aztech's Driver Page.

MS-DOS CD-ROM Driver installation procedure:

See our CD-ROM Driver information page if you are having difficulties loading your CD-ROM driver in your autoexec.bat / Config.sys.

General CD-ROM troubleshooting:

See our CD-ROM troubleshooting page which lists complete information on computer CD-ROM drives.
