SOUND BLASTER LIVE

During the installation of Live!Ware 2.0 I receive "Setup could not detect any Sound Blaster card on your system. Please ensure that your sound Sound Blaster Live! hardware is properly installed before running this setup program. Setup will now exit."

- Ensure that the Sound Blaster Live is enabled under Device Manager - Click Start / Settings Control panel / double-click the System icon / click the Device Manager tab. Within Device Manager ensure that you do not have a red X on any sound devices. If you notice there is a red X, double-click the device and ensure that the device is enabled.
- Ensure PnP OS is yes or enabled - Check CMOS is set to enabled or yes. If disabled or no, change to enabled, save and exit and reboot the computer.
- Move the card to another PCI slot on the Motherboard.

Unable to get my Sound Blaster Live!Ware 2.0 to work on my Cyrix-based processor.

Currently, the Sound Blaster Live does not work on the Cyrix 6X86 266 MHz and below processors. It is recommended you contact Creative for updates on this situation

How do I install the SB16 SCSI-2 in Windows 95 / 98?

To install this device, click Start / Settings / Control Panel / double-click the Add new hardware icon. Click Next / No (will not have this option in Windows 98) / Scroll through the listing of devices to install and select SCSI controllers / pick Adaptec as the manufacturer and select the Adaptec 6x60 ISA single chip SCSI controller as the adapter and complete the installation by clicking next two more times.

Sound Blaster 16 requirements:

IBM PC 386 or higher, or 100% compatibles
5MB hard disk drive space for software
MS-DOS 5.0 or higher, Windows 95, or OS/2 Warp
Open 16-bit slot
Speakers

SOUND BLASTER PCI64 (AWE64)

Microsoft's Age of Empires stops responding after a few minutes of game time.

This issue can occur when users are using the Sound Blaster AWE64 sound card. It is recommended that you download the latest drivers.

After installing drivers for the Creative Labs Sound Blaster AWE64, the power meter is displayed.

This icon is enabled during the installation of this software. If you do not wish to display this icon, click Start / Settings Control Panel / double-click the Power icon / click the Advanced tab and uncheck the box to not display the icon on the task bar.

Intel Pentium 90 or higher, or AMD K5 or higher processor.
8 MB system RAM (16MB recommended).
