How much does a DVD cost?

This page provides cost ranges for different types of DVD discs. Buying DVDs in bulk may provide a lower cost per disc too.

DVD blank disc

DVD+R and DVD-R (digital versatile disc recordable) cost between $0.20 - $0.40 per disc. A spindle with 50 discs, like that shown in the picture, costs around $10.00 to $15.00.

DVD movie

DVD (digital versatile disc) movies cost around $5.00 to $20.00. However, if the DVD contains a complete series of a particular movie or TV series, this price can be $40.00 or more.

Game on a DVD

DVD games can run from $10.00 to $60.00 and often are the same cost as CD (compact disc) and digital download games.
