Older modem and network cards do not work in Windows XP.

Solution

Older internal expansion cards that are not Plug and Play are not supported in any version of Microsoft Windows XP and therefore are not automatically detected and installed.

Obtain Windows XP drivers from Manufacturer

See if the manufacturer of the expansion card provides Windows XP drivers.

• Computer modem drivers.
• Computer network drivers.

Purchase a new expansion card

If no Windows XP drivers are available it is recommended you purchase a new expansion card.
