How to change a monitor refresh rate

  1. Open the Control Panel and then open Display icon or properties.
  2. In display, click the settings tab.
  3. Click the Advanced button.
  4. Click the Monitor tab.
  5. Within this window you can increase and decrease the computer monitor's refresh rate. We recommend that you set the refresh rate to at least 75Hz, if supported.

Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows ME users

  1. Click Start, Settings, Control Panel, double-click the display icon.
  2. In display, click the settings tab.
  3. In settings, click the adapter tab.
  4. Within this window you can increase and decrease the computer monitor's refresh rate. We recommend that you set the refresh rate to at least 75Hz, if supported.
