How do I remove a device in Windows Device Manager?

Answer:

To remove a device in Windows Device Manager simply follow the below steps.

  1. Open Windows Device Manager. Additional information about getting into Device Manager can be found on document CH000833.
  2. Once in Device Manager click the '+' symbol next to the device type you wish to remove. For example, if you're looking for the video card you would click the '+' next to Display adapters to view each of the video cards installed in the computer.
  3. Finally, highlight the device you wish to remove and press the delete key on your keyboard or click Action and then Uninstall.
