How do I view the name or label of a drive?

Windows users

  1. Open My Computer.
  2. In My Computer each drive listed displays their names before the drive letter. For example, a drive may show as "Local Disk (C:)", "Local Disk" is the name of this drive and C: is the drive letter. Right-click the drive icon and select Properties to display the Properties of the drive including its name. From the drives Properties window you can also change the name of the drive.
