Adder

  1. Component of a computer processor that adds two numbers sent from the processing instructions.
  2. Circuit that sums the amplitudes of two input signals. A half adder is a group of logic gates that are connected to create a logic circuit, incapable of handling addition for two numbers.  A full adder is a circuit that adds two binary numbers.
