AoE

AoE may refer to any of the following:

1. Abbreviation for Age of Empires, AoE is a series of RTS (real-time strategy) games developed by Microsoft. See our Age of Empires overview for further information.

2. Short for area of effect, AoE is a spell type found in RPGs (role-playing games) that affect a wide area on the ground where everything within that area takes damage/healing. AoE can also be a direct attack/heal on multiple targets surrounding the player casting it.
