COB

1. Short for Chip On Board, COB is a system where semiconductor dice are mounted directly on a PC board and connected with either bonded wires or solder bumps.
2. Abbreviation for Close of Buisness, COB is used often used to describe a deadline or time. For example, a co-worker may send you an e-mail saying they need to have work done by COB.
