Color profile

A file that contains information about a devices ability to capture or reproduce color. Common devices utilizing this could include printers, digital cameras, monitors, and scanners.

Microsoft Windows users can customize or create their own color profiles for their monitor or supported device by following the below steps.

  1. Open the Control Panel
  2. Double-click Display or Personalization
  3. Go to Settings and click the Advanced button.
  4. Click the Color Management tab.
  5. If shown, check the box Use my settings for this device.
  6. Click the Add button and add your own color profile.
