CSU/DSU

Short for Channel Service Unit/Data Service Unit, CSU/DSU is a hardware device used to connect and translate the signal coming from a digital line to a computer or network. For example, a user or business with a T1 line has a CSU/DSU connected to their network to translate incoming and outgoing data. The CSU/DSU allows their network to work over the T1 line.
